My family could not be more pleased with Beth's services. She jumped right in to accommodate our urgent need when my son missed so much calculus that he could not catch up own his own and started to fail quizzes. I'm the father of a 17 year old daughter who recently completed two years of weekly AP Calculus (a/b and b/c) tutoring from Beth M. Simply put, Beth is a wonderful math tutor. She can explain complex concepts clearly, and was quite willing to work with us to do whatever it took to get our daughter through AP Calculus. She always came prepared, knew the material, and was able to help explain calculus in ways that helped our daughter "get it." Most impressive was Beth's commitment to our daughter and willingness to meet for longer sessions, or more frequently when it was needed. She was always kind, professional, and an experienced teacher. Beth also has a nice sense of humor, and an ability to relate easily and comfortably with both teens and parents. We had tried a couple of other calculus tutors prior to Beth, and while those tutors were helpful, none were as capable and knowledgeable as Beth, and none were as committed to our daughter's success. Beth is not the least expensive tutor you will find, but she will provide you the greatest value - especially if you or your child needs tutoring in a challenging subject like calculus. With her assistance, our daughter did very well in calculus, and she will be attending UNC Chapel Hill this fall - thanks largely to the wonderful help she received from Beth.

I contacted Beth halfway through the first quarter of 9th grade when our son had a solid F in Spanish II and it was clear he was not going to recover on his own. Beth quickly squeezed him in her schedule, assessed where he was, recommended smart-phone apps to help him study and organize, reviewed his notebook and other materials, and also recommended other resources to help him practice. She met with our son slightly more than once per week, and she always used the time efficiently. Our son was comfortable relating to her (she had enough social exchanges to make him feel comfortable), but she was great about focusing the time on academics. At the end of the first quarter, our son had brought his grade up to a C. At the end of the course (it was semester-long), our son had earned a B! Without a doubt, our son worked hard to earn the improved grade, and his teacher was helpful. But even if our son had worked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, he could not have had this success without Beth!!! On top of all this, Beth was always extremely professional, prompt, and caring. We were fortunate to find her!
